✶ Session #1: Print, Read and Share ✶
PUB is happy to virtually host the first session of the 4th Pub ePub session with AKV Berlin. In this new online workshop, the attendants will produce two books that are key topics of the online lecture by our first guests, AKV Berlin Publishing House: Study, Not Critique and Death of an Art Critic (the book will be around 30 pages).

The idea will be to produce a physical object out of a virtual gathering, where a delocalized network of domestic printers will produce a limited number of copies. After the printed books will need to find their way to be passed among other Sandberg students, besides the home-made production, the workshop will thrive to find and discover ways to produce circulation in times of non-circulation. We invite you to send the books by mail, share it with your friends or slide it under someone else’s door.

Other Materials needed for the workshop:
a4 paper (preferably orange or dark yellow)
cutter knife
cutting mat
stapler for a5 format or alternatively perforator and flathead brass fastener

Pub ePub #4: Online Quarantine Sessions
✶ Oh, Kitty! how nice it would be if we could only get through into Looking-glass House! I'm sure it's got, oh! such beautiful things in it! Let's pretend there's a way of getting through into it, somehow, Kitty. Let's pretend the glass has got all soft like gauze, so that we can get through. Why, it's turning into a sort of mist now, I declare! It'll be easy enough to get through — ' She was up on the chimney-piece while she said this, though she hardly knew how she had got there. And certainly, the glass was beginning to melt away, just like a bright silvery mist ✶

PUB is hosting a new series of online workshops and talks dedicated to everyone interested in experimental publishing as a way to communicate and share during times of isolation. We think we can question our ways of production while we are in quarantine and we are willing to share ways of doing that can make us feel each other beyond the screen, or melting its surface, just like a bright, silvery mist.

In PUB we are interested in possibilities of publishing as a mediator for new discourses, as a way of resistance and also as an artistic practice, ➳ This workshop will be developed in different sessions by local and international guests from different fields whose body of work explores empirical ways of publishing, new narratives, content development and relevant artistic practices for the field.

Stay safe,

PUB
