This workshop was open to anyone interested in learning about formats for transmitting sound, dialogue, music and stories through online radio. The purpose was to bring students from different backgrounds together to exchange and learn about collaborative online audio publishing and broadcasting.
The aim of this workshop was to form a core team for PUB’s first marathon transmission during Graduation Week. This core team includes producers, hosts, and an extended network of co-producers, collaborators and contributors. The founding workshop was culminated with a live radio sound check and audio test that was the first PUB Radio’s transmission.
During the workshop week, the participants:

– designed the physical mobile station
– established media channels, partners, audience building techniques,
– developed a 2018 jingle
– developed a design concept, graphics, and website in collaboration with PUB

2018PUB Publishing Workshop
The workshop was open to everyone interested in expanding their practice through publishing activities and intends to bring together students from different backgrounds in order to ignite and push on collaborative publishing projects.
The workshop kicked off with a guest-lecture on how publishing can be used within an artistic practice which was open to all SI students. Presentations made by Delphine Bedel (Meta/Books), François Girard-Meunier (SuperSuperSuperSuper), Daniel Seemayer and Miquel Hervás Gómez (GRA Bookbinding workshop).
Writing exercises and round table discussions.
Develop a comprehensive and inherently consistent editorial and distribution concept.
The workshop consisted of:
What does the publication do/mean? And how is it going to exist/circulate?
How does it achieve its aspirations through form?
How do content, editorial concept and design come together?
How to think publishing as complement and supplement to working practices?
In which terms can 'making public' act as a tool for brining common shared interests and concerns?
How archiving, referencing and writing can behave together in articulating discourses?
Within one week, together, the participants established the PUB Journal. This new tentacle of PUB grew out of the workshop conducted by Miquel Hervás Gómez, François Girard-Meunier, Daniel Seemayer and Delphine Bedel.
